FAQs
When is the wedding? Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at 5pm. Wedding ceremony followed by a one hour cocktail party and three hour dinner reception. Please join us immediately after the ceremony for a group photo.
Where is the wedding? Originally the resort was the Hilton Playa Del Carmen, Adult Only, All-Inclusive Resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. It's now been purchased by Hyatt and is the Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen. Same resort, different name. The ceremony and cocktail hour are at the gazebo overlooking the beach, and the dinner is inside the ballroom.
What's included? When you book your room, it will include all meals and alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. You won't need to leave for food or buy anything onsite. With the Hyatt change, you may want to join Hyatt rewards.
How to book? Book directly on the website we've provided in the travel section (don't forget our corporate code 0912126 for a discount) by choosing your room type (it's an all suite resort - we like the pool view junior suite), and ensure you put in the correct number of people for the room (don't leave it at one person unless you're booking a room for one). Because it's all-inclusive, the rate will change depending on number of people in the room. If you need help, reach out! Also, it will say you will be charged right away, but so far no one who has booked has been charged. You will likely be charged about 30 days before your arrival date.
When can we arrive? Anytime you want! Feel free to stay before or after the wedding. We will be at the resort from October 30th to November 6th. To ensure you make it to the wedding, we recommend arriving Friday, October 31st.
What's the closest airport? Cancun is the closest airport. Tulum is also an option but a little farther away, and transportation options may be more expensive. Check flight prices to see what gets you the best bang for your buck! (Don't forget your passport!)
Is there transportation from the airport? Yes, transportation has been arranged for you through Efrain Juarez. You should have received a confirmation via text. Please download the WhatsApp App to your phone and save his number. 52 9842415150. We suggest sending him a message the day before your flight to confirm pickup time, just so you have confirmation directly from him. The Cancun airport is about 45 minutes to an hour from the resort.
What's the dress code? Casual! It's a beach wedding, so dress comfortably for the weather.
Is there a gift registry? No...we have everything we need! If you're prompted to look at a registry, ignore. We only want your presence at the wedding!
What travel documents are required? A valid passport with at least six months validity left prior to expiration. No other travel documents required at this time.
What to bring? Shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, swimming suits, bug spray, sunscreen, hat (the sun is pretty intense), pool floats if you wish (they'll blow them up there), other clothes for sightseeing and whatever you want to wear to the wedding. We have a cup for you to use at the bar, so no need to bring your own unless you want to.
What's nearby? 5th Avenue is next to the resort and very walkable (closed to traffic, just a pedestrian area with shops and restaurants) and is great for shopping and people watching. Mega (like Walmart) is about a 15 minute walk and is great for just about anything (snacks, clothes, toiletries, etc.) Here is a website for Day of the Dead activities in PDC if you're interested https://plalla.com/en/day-of-the-dead-in-playa-del-carmen-events/?fbclid=IwdGRleANM33VleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHvyBW5_d0NR6_w-lS8417qfyzkZcovRAXMWy9pmwf-lqQui60iJ0cyCqzqj7_aem_0C1OZXP7wAPegUzO5sbEVA#Day_of_the_Dead_Events_and_Activities_in_Playa_del_Carmen.
Sunday, November 2 Catamaran Sail - Meet at the hotel lobby at 10am for transportation to the boat. Bring sunscreen, hat, swimming suit, etc. There will be food and drinks on board. A snorkeling spot and Isla Mujeres are on the itinerary.
Anything else??? This is an all-inclusive resort, and we respectfully ask that you know your limits, especially on the wedding day. You will not be allowed into the wedding venue if you appear intoxicated. Otherwise, have fun!!!
