FAQs

All the things you need to know!

When is the wedding? Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at 5pm.  Wedding ceremony followed by a one hour cocktail party and three hour dinner reception.

Where is the wedding? Hilton Playa Del Carmen, Adult Only, All-Inclusive Resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.  The ceremony and cocktail hour are at the gazebo overlooking the beach, and the dinner is inside the ballroom.

What's included? When you book your room (join Hilton Honors, use our corporate code when booking), it will include all meals and alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.  You won't need to leave for food or buy anything onsite.

How to book? Book directly on the website we've provided in the travel section (don't forget our corporate code 0912126 for a discount) by choosing your room type (it's an all suite resort - we like the pool view junior suite), and ensure you put in the correct number of people for the room (don't leave it at one person unless you're booking a room for one).  Because it's all-inclusive, the rate will change depending on number of people in the room.  If you need help, reach out! Also, it will say you will be charged right away, but so far no one who has booked has been charged.  We've also been twice and both times been charged at check-in.

When can we arrive? Anytime you want! Feel free to stay before or after the wedding.  We will be at the resort from October 30th to November 5th.  To ensure you make it to the wedding, we recommend arriving Friday, October 31st.

What's the closest airport? Cancun is the closest airport.  Tulum is also an option but a little farther away, and transportation options may be more expensive.  Check flight prices to see what gets you the best bang for your buck! (Don't forget your passport!)

Is there transportation from the airport? Yes, stay tuned.  The Cancun airport is about 40 minutes from the resort.  Once we gather all travel plans, we'll be able to provide some information and assistance with transportation.

How do we share travel plans?
In the RSVP section, please include your arrival, departure and flight dates/info in the comment section when you know it.  Or you can text us!

What's the dress code? Casual! It's a beach wedding, so dress comfortably for the weather.

Is there a gift registry?  No...we have everything we need!  If you're prompted to look at a registry, ignore.  We only want your presence at the wedding!

What travel documents are required? A valid passport with at least six months validity left prior to expiration. No other travel documents required at this time.

What to bring? Shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, swimming suits, bug spray, sunscreen, hat (the sun is pretty intense), pool floats if you wish (they'll blow them up there), your own cup (bartenders will fill it for you), other clothes for sightseeing and whatever you want to wear to the wedding.

What's nearby? 5th Avenue is next to the resort and very walkable (closed to traffic, just a pedestrian area with shops and restaurants) and is great for shopping and people watching.  Mega (like Walmart) is about a 15 minute walk and is great for just about anything (snacks, clothes, toiletries, etc.)

Anything else??? This is an all-inclusive resort, and we respectfully ask that you know your limits, especially on the wedding day.  You will not be allowed into the wedding venue if you appear intoxicated.  Otherwise, have fun!!!
